Thermal Imaging for Research & Development

In Research & Development and product/process testing, accuracy and reliability are vitally important. FLIR's SC-Series IR cameras are used for capturing and recording thermal distribution and variations in real time, allowing engineers to see and accurately measure heat patterns, dissipation, leakage, and other temperature factors in equipment, products and processes.

ThermoVision® SC620 & SC660B620

The FLIR SC620 and SC660 are advanced & accurate infrared cameras loaded with industry-first features.

Main features & benefits

The FLIR SC620-660 supplies a combination of infrared and visible spectrum images of superior quality and temperature measurement accuracy – plus GPS, voice annotation, and a host of other advanced features. The SC660’s high-definition 640×480 infrared detector delivers exceptional sensitivity, resolution, and image quality for scientific and research applications. The Dynamic Detail Enhancement (DDE) feature further improves thermal image sharpness.

Visible spectrum images generated by the built-in high resolution digital camera can be fused with the IR-images creating a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) view in real time. The PiP function has full flexibility allowing users to adjust the PiP area size and position. The SC660’s 5.6” wide screen LCD and the built-in viewfinder allows on-camera viewing of images. The high quality lenses including USM technology has fast auto focus functions as well as full manual adjustment.

What industries benefit from this technology?

The FLIR SC660 is designed for professional thermogrpahers for their scientific and research applications.  It is the perfect choice when a portable camera is preferred.

ThermoVision® SC2500-NIR

Fully integrated near infrared camera for scientific studies, R&D, and critical processes

Product Overview

FLIR’s SC2500-NIR near infrared camera is designed to satisfy the requirements of a wide range of science and research applications. Its design makes it the only fully integrated camera covering the spectral range of 0.9µm to 1.7µm that combines thermal imaging and non-contact temperature measurements with superior data acquisition capabilities. While most competitive NIR cameras are simply thermal imagers, the SC2500-NIR provides accurate non-contact temperature measurements. The camera is able to be calibrated for temperatures up to 2000˚C. All required image processing electronics are embedded in the camera to deliver sharp, ready-to-use images. Other capabilities include high frame rates, flexible integration times, lock-in signal processing, spectral filtering, and a Gigabit Ethernet digital interface for seamless connection to standard PCs and laptops.
